Wanted: Mariner 2+2 Mast
Author Last Post

I have obtained a used, second-hand, spare Mariner mast from another Mariner Class

Association member. Thank you to everyone who responded to my situation. I appreciate the practical help Association members provide each other.

So sorry the mishap especially spring summer.

Please give a time line and a dollar amount expected because you my end up with a mast attached to an entire Mariner.

If you have some time let us look for a fix.

I know I'm in the midwest yet maybe enough pieces left to pay for gas and travel?

Will be looking until you say stop.

My O'Day Mariner 2+2 #1545 was blown down while on its mooring in the Delaware River with a gust recorded by NOAA at Burlington, NJ as 49 knots. Unfortunately, the fore stay (roller-furler) caught on the mooring float and chain. Within 16 hours and a tide cycle, the mast had snapped in two at the bolt that secures the top ends of the shrouds. The furler plastic core was kinked near its mid-point. The rear stay also failed.

I plan to contact Stuart Marine and/or D+R Marine to buy a new aluminum mast extrusion and then transfer all of my existing fittings onto the new extrusion. If anyone has a used/spare mast in good condition for a 2+2 Mariner in the mid-Atlantic region, I would like to buy it from you.
