1978 O'Day Mariner "Saltine" in need of a new captain ready for a project. We had three and half incredible seasons with her before she was downrigged in a storm after a larger yacht came unmoored and snapped her mast.
In 2024 we restored her swing keel to remove all rust. We also resealed the through bolt and installed new G10 washers. That same year we purchased new Neil Pryde sails with CDI furling system (for sale separately $1,750: https://www.facebook.com/share/1D1asWzLT6/).
The hull needs significant work to repair damage on the starboard side, bottom and cosmetic repairs throughout. The compression post is compromised (see photos).
Otherwise, trailer, boom, rudder, tiller, standing rigging, adjustable motor mount, hatch doors (custom made), and cushions are all in good working order and available for free with the hull.
She is located in South Kingstown, RI ready for pick up. I'm also open to transporting her up to 1 hr away.
